Knott's Taste of Fall-O-Ween (9/27/20)

Fall has arrived in OC and we are constantly keeping an eye out to safely venture out - inspired by the (somewhat) cooler weather, and the sights, smells and sounds of the season!

We are fortunate to have a variety of avenues to explore and places overpouring with that Autumn glow. Buena Park's venerable Knott’s Berry Farm is celebrating the "Taste of Fall-O-Ween" on select days, now until November 1st. The menu alone beckoned us: it was a feast for all our senses.

Knotts is open (sans rides), offering generous and delightful food and drink choices to satiate all palates. Tickets are date-based and the process to order your tickets at the Knotts website (https://www.knotts.com/play/events/taste-of-fall-o-ween) is easy. (We do recommend printing out physical tickets, especially if you are going with a large group.)

Tickets for the day we went were $35 for adults (<12), $20 for children (3-11) and those young ones 2 and under are free. Adults can choose up to 5 items on their "pass" and children up to 3. By the end of the day we felt this was a tremendous deal and we barely used up the card - so play the day slow and get what you truly have a hunkering for. Items are all Fall and Halloween sourced, so keep that in mind before going and definitely review the menu to understand how the day will go. You can definitely purchase items that you want outside of the card - we bought plenty of drinks for example, so we didn't use up the pass.

The park had ample social distancing. We were surprised the entire park was open! Knotts put out all the stops as for keeping thoroughfares open, plenty of seating (open picnic benches were everywhere).

The family's favorites of the day were "Diablo Fries" in the Fiesta Village area (fries, cheese, dried jalapenos, and a dusting of hot Cheetos) and the Graveyard Funnel Cake (chocolate smothered funnel cake with whipped cream and gummy worms).

The highlight for the little ones in our party was trick or treating in Camp Snoopy! There were a lot of kid friendly haunts there and plenty of candy stations.

Overall, we enjoyed the day and the diversion - not only the food, the sights, the entertainment, but also plenty of shops to peruse. Now, hurry - there are only a few days that are still available as the event is mostly sold out!

Hmmmm...we wonder if Knotts could be planning a similar event for the upcoming 'Merry Farm' season? Eager adventurers can’t wait to see!
